| Why are the file contents wrong? |

When Windows deletes a file the space occupied by the file is marked as "available" which means other files are free to write over this space. Often times the contents may be overwritten by other files. Once this happens you cannot recover the original file as the data has been overwritten by new data.
Important
Do NOT defragment your drive if you are attempting to recover deleted files. Once a drive has been defragmented, the contents will appear "scambled" to SUPERFileRecover and it is unlikely that you will be able to recover any files intact. |
